Welcome to Villain Con 26

“Hello, welcome to a very special Meanwhile.” The week is promised to be easy breezy. The host is going to step away for a couple of days. Don’t ask about the lantern.

Every Villain Con opens with the shark tank ceremony: a giant tank that encircles everyone, the sharks going round and round. In 2021 there was no tank, because Villain Con was held digitally and everyone had to zoom in to everything. This year the tank is back, and the host finally gets to be in it.

Do you remember a few years ago when Covid was a thing and then I couldn’t do the shark tank ceremony at Villain Con because we had to zoom in to everything. Well, at time of recording, I don’t think there’s any airborne or seaborne virus that we need to worry about.
The Introduction

That is the reason he gives for stepping away for a couple of the days. You will barely notice he is not there. Those are the days the Mystic Theatre plays instead: Day 2 and Day 3, the two halves of a simulmake, read by a narrator beside the stage.

What the Council noted

The Council’s notice for the opening ceremony is on the board: Hammerhead asked to join the shark tank. He was told it’s for guests. He has asked what that makes him. Nobody has answered him. See his file.

The host’s promise of an easy breezy week is also on record. It is made again on Day 1, again on Day 5, and checked at the Outroduction. By then he is wearing a cast.
